Default 1986 FourTrax 350 4x4 Stator Problem?

Great bike, rides great in the woods. New fails to start. But out of random while driving/idling it cuts off. After it cuts off it doesn't have a problem restarting, but when you put in back into gear it will cut off. After sitting there for awhile kicking it and what not it will start and run fine for a day. I don't believe it is a fuel problem. Lined the gas tank. Checked fuel lines. Rebuilt Carb. Still Cutting off. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check the fuel pump, relay and filter. Check the pepcock for blockage. My carb was adjusted improperly and needed to be redone.

Yeah, carb was rebuilt and serviced(supposedly). It would run fine for about an hour then just die, crank it up and ride again and die. It would die idling and trying to take off. The float was sticking and some of the air passages had trash in them and it was adjusted improperly. I cleaned the carb good(float passage) and jets put it back in and readjuted the air idle screw(run it all the way in and back it out about 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 turns) then readjust the idle screw(black **** on side of carb). Runs fine now, still cold natured as heck, but all of them I have ever seen have been hard to start when it is really cold out.
