Removing stress marks on plastic oem fenders
#1
Hi. I am new here and this is my first post so please be patient. I am also newer to atvs (had them for one year). I have (2) 2006 Wolverine 450 4x4s' blue. Both have stress marks from being rolled. Anyway to get rid of the stress marks? I saw something about using a heat gun. I was hoping someone could elaborate on that and if there are any other ways of doing it. Anyone find after market fenders that don't get stress marks as much?
Thanks in advance
Jenny

As for the stress marks your best bet is to buy new plastics or have them painted. You can try the heatgun and it might help but you have to heat the plastic up extremely slowly so it doesnt burn in one spot. Also try it on the inside of the fender before you do it on the outside of it encase you dont like the results.
Ebay is your best bet for some fenders.

Thanks for the info. I had to order a new front fender for one because it was so cold that it cracked where there was a stress mark! Good old Michigan weather.
