Does anyone know where to download a repair manual for a 04 Sportsman 400 ? I found one for a 05. I store my machine in the winter, use it for hunting in the fall. Anyway, I start it periodically during the winter. I hit the starter and it doesn't fully engage, went to try and pull it over and the recoil doesn't engage either! Battery is charged.

oohh thats not good. any chance you got water in the recoil and it froze up? make sure that some mice didnt make a nest in it anywhere like exhaust. just something to check for.

 

Didn't check for mice, but fiqure I'll pull off starter if I can't start her up. Maybe I'll get lucky after I thaw it out the recoil. Still could use a manual.

I got all of mine from ebay. the guy ships you a cd for arround 16.00 with shipping. the dealer charges arround 55.00. hope this helps
