What kind of Outty do you have? Because last I check they were all cvt transmissions and you don't have to shift.

I have the outy 650 and the ONLY thing I don't like is how the shifter feels. I hope mine doesn't snap. Would a weld fix it?

maybe I was wrong then I thought you didn't have a shifter on the cvt's or maybe thats only the 800 you don't need to shift...does the shifter feel loose to you like it is stripped out or just actually breaking?

There's nothing that a weld wont fix! We've welded many shifters/kickstarts

yes it is a high low shifter for an outlander 400. it snapped right off at the weld, its at the dealers being welded back on. we had better not have to pay for it. also one of the three pins holding the winch together was worn through by the cable and its gone now.we might need a new winch. and the cable snapps while we plow. i think it is because it is wearing on the pulley it runs through.

thanks for your input
