another tranny seal problem 06 500 le

this is my 3rd time having seals put in the trans. it is covered by warrenty,..but i want to be riding, not waiting again. this thing has not been abused, only 900 miles. it blows oil on my belt and leaves me stranded. does any one else have a 06 500 auto thats been a problem child? mine has never not had a problem,..I assumed that the atv's were as good as the snow mobiles,..so far i have been let down. idle problems, coolant hoses leaking, brake caliper bolt fell off, 3 fuel sending units, trottle cable, shock bushings, rear shocks froze up and wouldnt adjust so had to be replaced, these are just a few things that have kept me off the trails for 6 months of my 1 year ownership of the machine. just curious of others problems.

man, sounds like your having some bad luck with your bike. i dont have an 06 model but i do have 3500 miles on my 500 and the only major thing that had to be fixed/replaced was the shocks . that was 3 years ago. hope you get everything figured out!

yeah, it's a lemon alright. I even offered to trade it for less of a bike and give them money too just to get somthing that works,..they said no. i will be moving to wisconsin in a few months,..i may have to stop by the factory and see if i can talk some sense into them. the dealer i bought it from can not fix anything,..so now i have to go 2 hours everytime it breaks down to the next one. i am not saying cats are all bad, i just wish the factory would do somthing to satisfy me.
it is a little reassuring that there are not so many out there that are lemons since there are not many replys. Have fun ridin your machines,...i will sit and patientlly await the arival of my hopfully fixed machine.

man you got a bad bike and thats all there is to is. I have a 05 650 with 2500 miles on it and i have had to replace the u joints and thats it, and I have ridden it hard every day of its life. From pulling 30 foot trees for fire wood to the sand dunes and back to the hills in and out of water to snowplowing for 4 months of the year Its a tough atv. So get rid of it but dont give up on cat they are a good maching.

i have an 06 500 and only 3 problems. kinda... the bolt came out of my rear brake caliper also, the fuel like wasn't on the carb all the way, (easy fixes) and not enough time to ride it. i love mine. you know after 3 things wrong you should have legal action as it's lemon. well in cars that is. i dunno about atv's. might look into it though.
good luck Cats ARE good atv's
HR.

well, i'm giving this other shop a try,..one try,..then it will be personally delivered by me, 3400 miles away to the factory. been in the shop another week,..its still a little too cold to ride(-10 for highs) but at least it should be here in my yard, not in a shop. springs comin, after a 7 plus month alaskan winter,.. I am ready to ride. i will keep everyone posted on my machine,...when i get it back. by the way, 300 or so miles were from shops test riding it,..yeah, neat.
