My 250 Sport is supposed to be here Friday. Curious as to what type/weight of oil everyone is using. I want to go with synthetic, but have always heard to break in an engine in on dino oil. I've always used Castrol dino oil. When I switch over to synthetic I will use Mobile 1, Amsoil is too hard to find here.

I guess I should ask...it is ok to run synthetic in the Jetmoto engine?

 

I broke mine in on Valvoline 10w-40 and will be using Amsoil in it from now on. i would think Mobil 1 would be ok too.

 

I am running 15w-40 in my Jetmotos, and may change to 20w-50 in the heat of the summer!

 

what grade of amsoil you using??? what is your high low temp outside if I need to adjust I am in seattle.

Should I change my oil in breakin period every 5 hrs (once a night) for 50 hrs before I change to amsoil??

How often after breakin period do I change amsoil and oil filter??

Amsoil 10w-40 4 sroke oil. I am changing over to it after about 5-7 hours of operation. I ride in temps that range from about 25 degrees to about 100.
