Default Sportsman 700 Drive Belt

Mine is an 03 with 700 miles and 180 hours. Seems fine but I never checked it. Should I go through the trouble to take it apart & change it anyways or if it ain't broke then don't fix it? What r signs of a belt that is failing? Is it easy to do?

good words to live by. proper matainance is good but replacing a belt for nothing word be foolish. you'll know if you burn the belt by smelling it. when it slipps all the time is a good sign.

Ok thanks. I guess I'll leave it alone for now. When I do change the belt should i change the outer cover o-ring seal or gasket?(whatever it has)
