Has anyone ever bought a used Quad with out a title ? Can there be any problems ( assuming it's not stolen ) is there anyway to get a new title or register them ? I live in Maryland

 

My 02 Rancher didn't come with a title when I bought it from the dealer. I have since moved, and here in Ohio, I have to take it to the BMV to get a VIN verification done before I can title and register it here. If it's a good deal, maybe teh BMV there can do the same. Ask the guy if he is willing to do that. If he agrees and does it, offer to pay for it. If he doesn't, maybe it's not his quad.

Pretty sure a bill of sale notarized is good for most purposes(to get insurance), but for registration you may have to pay taxes unless it's bound to your farmland...........not sure
