Default Interested in quad on eBay...

My husband has a Polaris Scrambler and feel like it is too much bike for me. I am a small framed mom who doesn't have a lot of nerve, actually I enjoy the speed of the lawnmower...lol. Anyway I have seen a qaud on eBay that I like the looks of. I was hoping you could take a look at the specs and the seller and share your opinion. I've been nosing around the board so I am aware of the risks of buying off EBay and that you all like to reccomend Raceway but besides that...what do you think?

Thanks in advance!
Ellie

Don't go with a cheap machine like that one, that machine is not very wide. If your scared of going very fast, i would just go out and get a Honda 300EX, This is a good quad to start out on. If you can not shift through the gears, get a honda recon.. My wife was very scared the first time and did not want a big machine now she wished she had. You get very comfortable very fast with any machine you buy. Just remember that the quad will only go as fast as you want it too.(just depends on if you hammer on it)

Look around at the 250 class 2wd utility class of machine. These are about 3/4 to 7/8 the size of a full sized utility - usually weighing in at about 400 pounds (vs 600 for the big guys). Best in class are the Honda Recon or Suzuki Ozark but several others are good ones too. They can be had in auto-clutch 5-speeds, electric shift (Honda only) or full automatic. Expect to pay new about $3,500 but many have been around a while and there is a large used market. Used 250's in good shape can go for $2,000.
