I am hearing clattering noises from my transmission when I let off the throttle and coast from mid to high speeds. Last year I jumped the poor old bike (1989 350D) and when it landed something went pop and I have heard this noise periodically ever since. I recently lifted the suspension on the bike and now I hear the noise more pronounced and all the time. Are the transmissions hard to rebuild in these bikes? Parts expensive? Worth doing? I have also noticed that when the bike gets warmed up is it very hard to shift, could also be part of the problem.
Any ideas?
