Default Polaris Dealer performs to the usual standard.

2006 Hawkeye.

Every time I looked at this thing when I was shopping the salesguy told me all about HOW MANY of these things they had sold. On my first visit there was a whole line of them on the lot. By the time I made my choice I got the VERY LAST one.

So I'm not talking about an offbeat or unusual machine here. It's LAST YEAR'S model.. and all I need is a headlight bulb.

I'm not asking for a perfect color-and fit headliner for an AMC Pacer here folks, I'm asking for a HEADLIGHT BULB for a 5-MONTH OLD machine they sold like hotcakes. (and by-the-way, still matches the part for the current model)

Not in stock.

So, I pay my TWENTY DOLLARS for a bulb smaller then my pinkie. "It'll be here in a couple of days". Sure, it will. I'm not holding my breath here.

Next time, eBay. I knew I shoulda just gone there first.


This machine has been fine. My dealer would have to improve to be called a "disappointment".

I am in the dealer waiting mode right now also!!
Can't even use mine until I get this part!! Looks like there is a backorder here in Canada and the U.S.
Mine is for an 2006 also!!

I been waiting since Feb.....The part is Made in China......?????(#4011110)ECM/Recifiter....
So much for made in the U.S.A(Polaris)....Should say put together in U.S. with inported parts!!!!!
I just need to shut-up and wait I guess..........The dealer is covering the cost of it!!!

not even american cars are built with 100% US Parts. a 2007 Chevy pickup is 90% US/Canadian part, a 2007 Polaris Sportsman is 84% US/Canadian part

I love my dealer, I ordered 800 header exhaust shields on Fri., I'll have them Weds. Gorilla on the other hand, has some serious backorder issues!

I ordered new tires from the dealer for my Hawkeye and then brought my rims in to have them swapped. Two days later and they hadn't even touched them. I picked them up and brought them to the local Midas shop. I called in advance to make sure they did ATV tires and what the price was, and they told me to bring them right down and they would do it on their lunch hour. When asked if I could bring them some lunch, they said sure, bring a pizza or something. I brought them a medium Supreme and an order of Fried rice and Lo Mein from the Chinese restaurant and a two liter of Pepsi. When they were done, I asked them how much on top of the food I owed them, and they said nothing.

WOW......I sure hope it doesn't take much longer for my front rack to get here. They said by Wed. or Thur.....Hmmmmmm maybe I need to yak at them tomorrow to be sure I will have it by Saturday for the big Easter ride !!

you really cant put the blame on the dealers for parts not being avail....can you? I'm not trying to defend them but it's not thier fault parts arent avail. You need to be mad at the manufacturer. In the case where Sheep's tires were sitting the for 2 days - well, that one you can get on the dealer about. Unless of course they told you it would take a few days. Cant blame them for being busy but they should give you a lead time and stick to it.

I point that made me mad at my dealer was: I called the service dept for a rejetting and he said he would call me back no later than noon the next day with a price of labor and parts and an appointment (he wanted to make sure he had the correct jet before I made the appointment).

This was 4 months ago - he hasnt called yet.

NOW THAT kind of service you can get bent about
