Default L&R Gun Mount - Left or Right?

Getting a L&R Gun Mount for my 2005 400 sportsman, wondering if I should get left or right side? brake peddle on right side has me thinking left side...I hunt in Northern MN and I wear some big pacs that need most of the floor board.

Any one have experience and opinion?

thanks

DDirk, i use a double mount on the front rack with a gun sock, i perfer this over the larger hardcase mounts, allows me to put storage box on back, this setup does block the highbeam light though, i stow it in under front rack when not in use. i used my ride to haul the doe i shot last year back to camp, and place stands in the preseason, gotta love that sportsman.

The Polaris scabbard mount I recently bought can be configured to fit on either side, perhaps the one you're talking about is different. I am mounting mine on the right side initially.
