Replaced the steering stem yesterday, it broke right at the top where it bolts to the handlebars,talked to dealer , they called polaris, they said they had'nt had any problems with them, the funny thing is the part numbers have been updated and the new one is made out of heavier pipe and flat iron than the old one, if they havent had any problems why did they upgrade it?

 

I have seen one go bad on a 2004 sp 500.
