Ya go thru the right side, and find someone with small hands. I found the plug wrench in the tool kit works pretty good. Sometimes it's hard to find just the right sized extension.

pulling the plug with out removing the tank can be a bad idea. all the dirt, mud and sand that accumulates in that spot can fall into the motor as soon as you remove the plug. not good.

yes its a pain in the ***, but its better to be safe and clean off the motor first.

Taking off the plastic is best but we have 2 off these. the tools I use are the factory plug socket, a small SHORT swivel head ratchet ( available at Auto Zone), the factory socket handle( used to pry out the darts from the right side access panel), a 17 mm socket , a piece of fuel line( preferably not used) and a pair of vise grips. It will be nice to have some darts ready for when the old ones tear up. THEN pull off the access panel.Pull the spark plug boot off with the vise grips with a prying motion. Blow as much dirt out from around the plug with the fuel line as possible. Install the factory socket only over the plug. Use the shallow 17 mm socket with the short swivel head ratchet to loosen the plug enogh to be turned by hand with the factory socket still on the plug and the 17 mm socket and ratchet removed. Removing the plug and socket from the head seems impossible, but the right amount of tilt and rotation will find the small spot where the tank is recessed just enough to get it out. It is tricky and will take some practice and patience, but it will work. I have it down to under 5 mins for a plug change. Good luck.

Thanks for the help!!! Since this is still new to me it took me about 30 min to fig it out. I did us a compressor to get any loose dirt out and quickly found out that the lever for the plug socket would not work but a ratchet did fit and worked well. Even managed to tighten my chain and change out the back brake pads. Once again Thanks... Bull
