Rancher - How much should I pay?
#1
I am looking to buy my first ATV and have about decided upon the Honda Rancher. The List price for the ES 2x4 is $4599 and the 4x4 is $5399. What should I realisticly expect to pay for either of these two machines? (I live in the north Texas area)

I have seen new 2001 Rancher ES models at these prices:
2 wheel drive $4099
4 wheel drive $4799
I have seen used models selling at nearly the same price. I think you may be able to save a few hundred by going used, but unless your dealer is pretty greedy they should be able to get near those prices. By the way those prices include all "freight, set-up, etc.", but not sales tax.

Check out Lake Hills website. It has the out the
"Out the door price" listed.
Just follow the link. It may be worth your time
to drive to Northeast Mississippi. I am driving
there from North Carolina in about 3 weeks to
pick up a Rancher myself. None of the dealers in
my area want to negotiate price at all even when
I printed the web page and took it to them to see!
Good luck

TARHEEL_those prices are supposedly only good through 12/31/00-Are you planning to go this week to get one? If so let me know- we can road trip together because I want to pick up a new quad myself- It's over 400 miles one way and I would love to share the driving.
