Default New jet needle when re-jetting

My quad has been at the local dealer for over a week now. I brought it there to change the jetting back to stock cause i put the airbox lid back on. I called them to see what the hold up was. They said it was because the needle jet was on backorder. I didnt think you changed the needle when you take the airbox lid on or off. I thought it was just the jets? Im just mad cause im missing the first riding weekend of the year.

when you change the jetting you also change the needle and depending on how extensive you go you will also need to change the pilot jet.

usually you end up changing the clip position of the needle, not the needle jet. unless you still have mid-throttle issues after trying richer and leaner positions. I wouldnt think just removing the airbox lid would require a needle jet replacement, maybe a clip position change. I've never heard anybody changing the needle jet. something sounds fishy to me...

I change depending on what kit I go with that's all I mean by this...But yes the position is what matters most for your carb to perform correctly.
