Default Well Back to the Dealership Again HAWKEYE BROKEN

Hello
What is everyone up to? I am sitting here in front of my computer wishing I could ride my fourwheeler but it is Broke. HERE IS THE STORY

I went riding yesterday I was on a backroad running around 40 put on my brakes pretty hard and snapped the rear inner cv where it goes into the rear chunk boot tore in half now I have a on demand 3 wheel drive. IT broke the cv on the same side it has the disk brake on shurly hitting the brakes pretty hard wouldnt snap the cv. Anyways anyone heard of this??
It is still under warranty I wonder if thats covered. I dont weigh but 168. Hopefully it is covered. JUST CURIOUS How many people out there actaully got there Carbs rejetted or got half dozen holes drilled in the top of the airbox with rubber plugs in them. These Hawkeyes seem to be a lot of trouble. Heard rumors of a recall but cant find nothing on the net. Anyone heard anything? Dealer dont know nothing about a recall . Dont know maybe Polaris will fix this cv without me having to get all pissed off again. Whatcha thinking about it??

Joe

Before I brought my Hawkeye, I asked the dealer what problems he has seen with these. Said he seen one that broke the cv shaft twice on the same side (I don't know which side) but that was it. Also said the rider was a teenager sooo. I am not hard on brakes (started riding on Honda's that basically have no brakes). Notice your post on another Hawkeye thread, mine has the carb updated with 2 holes in the lid. Mine old Hondas seemed to have been running rich so I drilled some holes in there lids, seem to of help them.

I wouldnt think the brakes would have nothing to do with it but it may have been weak just glad it is still under warranty for about 2 more months. Tell ya what it will cut one heck of a doughnut easily. I know the boots are not covered but if was a mechanical failured on the cv causing the boot to tear if maybe covered. Dont know the dealer I use is pretty cool I called him lastnight around eight on his cell and said probably wouldnt be any trouble but would have to make shure what was covered. hehehe I broke it again man this couldve happened bout 2 months later and I would be out of pocket. How much yall think this would be out of pocket
1 inner cv joint
1 Boot and clip assy
1 Tube of grease
put together by me whats the guesstamation???
Thanks for the responses Joe
