Default Outy 800 Transmission

Just bought an Outy 800 and have a question about the CVT transmission. Do all the Outys wind up a bit before moving forward? Love the machine but do not like the jerk at the start. Makes it tough to go slow when dodging trees on a tight path. The power of the Outy is like a Corvette on steroids.

yes yes yes ok here's what i know ......on the 500xt there are 4 weights in the cvt on the 800 there are 6. now it's almost like a stall converter in a dragster .. well a hot rod. ok . the point is , it's a bad bad boy. it took my dad awile(and afew small trees) in the tight areas to get it figured out. but you'll get it i'm sure . ride safe and ride proud. you got one of the top machines out there.

Thanks Dufrane. Was hoping maybe there was an adjustment that could be made that would minimize the wind up before it took off.

I don't know about that, my Renegade is basically the same and while I hear it whining sometimes while I'm moving, it doesnt do it before the forward motion engages, pretty much takes of just by poking at the throttle.
