1991 Trail Boss 350L 4x4 noise?
#1
I just bought this and it runs great rides great too. It has only one quirky issue that I need to address. When I shut it off as it is shutting down and RPM's slowing it makes a couple of rubbing noises. it sounds like something rubs the side cover on the left side. I think this is where the clutch is and perhaps it is something with this that is rubbing. The owner told me he did not know what it was so I knew about it..... Any ideas before I start pulling covers?
Thanks,
Bill
By the way, this is my first post, my very first ATV as well!

Will do and thanks... Anyone else? This looks like a GREAT site!
I have a lot to learn. I am a mechanical guy and love to tinker so this ATV is perfect. My other toy is a 1941 Ford 9N.

Bill

depending if the belt has ever been changed and how it was cared for it wouldnt hurt to pull the cover off to at least clean it out and then you could check over everything as well. just a thought.

I got the racks off and some of the plastic last night. I am also doing a "Camo" tape job on it as well so this stuff needs to come off. I will be checking the motor mounts and pulling the side cover tonght.
Had to watch some of the Bulls game last night. I have lived in the Chicago area all my life and yes a Bulls fan even before Jordan... But MJ was not bad... LOL
Thanks!
