Default blue wire and green wire?

my son has the mini-utility 110, and to day it stopped running mid-way through a ride, it was trying to start(turning over) just wouldnt get going. i pushed it off the trail took a five minuite brake and it started and ran fine all the way back to the trailer. when i got back i noticed that a green wire and a blue wire was unplugged/ripped out of something. it is located under the left rear fender by the battery. could this be for the safety swith or what. taped up the wires and all seems wel. my question is what are those wires for and should i repair them or is it going to be fine. i dont want to have a safety issue for my son(who is 6) out in the middle of the trails, nor do i want to get stranded. any help would be appriciated, thanks mykool!!!
