i got an 03 ds and it keeps makin this whining sound from down in the bottom end. ive got a new crank and bearings. ive swapped whole stator covers and all the other parts down there and it still makes this noise. so any ideas would be appreciated.

 

Seems as if the one-way isn't releasing, so we switched eveything o the ouside of the crankshaft between his and mine, on his it still whines and on mine t doesn't. Any guesses?

 

Did you reshim the crank when you put the new one in. Or just try and use the ones that it had from the old crank? Reason I ask is you may be to tight. If it was to loose it would prolly be more of a deep sounding slap noise.
