Rancher ESP 400 Computer
#1
Last Week I purchased a used Honda Rancher 400, it had roughly 700 hours on it.
The problem I have now is that I took it out for some trail riding and had the selector in the auto position and after about an hour of riding and a few mud holes, typical trail, my display read out started flashing "esp" in the bottom left and this shut down the auto shift and also would not allow shifting manually. When I put it in reverse it started missing and sounded like it was running on only one to two cylinders.
Has anyone experinced this problem and if so is there a fix for it or do I take it back and see what the dealer can do.
I appreciate all help in this.

Need to count the number of flashes and that will tell you the code. My guess is something electronic with the tranny like angle sensor or something. I think the codes are on here somewhere if not someone could tell you what code youe have.
