Back to the winch questions. I have a polaris brand winch on my sportsman. The quad is at home I am about 1000 miles from there. Can anybody help me out? what is the distance between the bolts on hte fairlead and what is the weight of the winch off the quad?

 

distance. = 4 7/8" center to center give or take. weight for a 3.0 is 15.4 lbs.

 

Question........Where do you fit the 5 ponies on your Sportsman????...Caper........

 

The fit nicely in the hansomely large racks and built in tool boxes.

yep, I am buying synthetic rope and a UMHW fairlead and I just wanted to verify fitment. My estimation is with synthetic cable and the fairlead it will shed 3 lbs.
