which wire to this rev limiter gets cut on the 04 model the 05 and up is adjustable. The earlier models i was told u cold cut the wire which one gets cut

 

If you pull out the cdi box take a look at the side of the cdi..You will see the green wire that comes out and goes right back inside the box..It doesn't come from anywhere else or go anywhere else its just a little loop on the side of the box....It is NOT a part of the harness that plugs into the box...I have pics but can't post them on this site.

 

so i cut this loop? its under the front grill this cdi box? Have you noticed power gains? The prob is the rev is what keeps a two strokes powerband up and up a hill it bogs we have tweeked the carb mixing to the hilt and thansk for yr post

 

so is it better to cut or buy a hi perf box? whats better?

 

Just cut the wire and it allows the engine to rev higher...Take off the nose cone and look in to the side of the gas tank on the right hand side as you face the atv.The cdi box is hanging in a rubber holder.You can slide it out and then just snip the wire and tape the ends so they can't touch....Make sure you don't unplug the wiring harness when you are pulling on the cdi box or the engine won't start afterwards.(don't ask me how I know[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
