I'm doing the first service on my own. everything is easy including the valve adjustment. My shock came when I bought all the oils that I need.

3 Quarts Mobil 1 $21.00 2.1 qts needed
1 Quart Bombardier Synthetic Gear oil SAE 75w-90 $16.97 -- for the front and rear diffs.
2 12oz bottles of Bombardier XPS Chaincase oil p/n 413803300 14oz needed $16.97 per 12oz bottle.

So far all the oils and filter costs are over $92.00!

What is this Chaincase oil and why does it cost so much? can I use anything else? What weight is the oil? the service manual says to use Bombardier XPS Chaincase oil p/n 413803300 .

What is everyone using in the diffs?

Any easy way to reset the Maintenance soon warning on the display?

 

what bike are you riding...i use castrol syntex in motor.. just curious..12.00 for an oil change..filter is high in price,but have found a solution...oh well ride hard ride safe
