Default New AC manual transmission?

I've looked on the AC website and I can't figure out if the new AC 500 manual has electronic shift or is it like my old foot pedal one. They have no specific pictures and the description of the machine is more of an general overview.
I could call my dealer and ask but that is a long distance call and this is free. ( Yes, I am very cheap!) haha

Anybody know?

I don't know for sure but I don't believe AC would make it electrical. Not when the electrics are already taxed because of a relatively small battery and the charging system being from a magneto and not an alternator.
The shifter may be electronic but I highly doubt it.

On a 2007, the parts catalog does show a (switch, reverse), which denotes electronics. Not sure about it's function.
Sorry I can't help anymore than that.

I just broke down and called the dealer. He said the manual is still like my old '01 500. It's on the floorboard. He also said it's almost impossible to sell a new one. They don't even stock them. Everybody want a automatic.
I think Honda has the only electric shift out there. I may be wrong though.

You mean 'aftermarket' or from AC. I have not heard anything about it. Be kind of interesting. I wonder how many people would like it (shifting with their thumb instead of their foot)? I am a creature of habbit and if I had to shift with my thumb it would take some getting used to I guess. (Probably why I have an Auto), I have a hard enough time concentrating on steering what would I ever do if I had to shift OMG!
