Outlaw 90 problem?
#1
Just bought a 2007 Outlaw 90 the other day and could not help but notice a slight popping noise coming from the exhust about every 3 to 5 seconds. It does not pop when idling but soon as you give it gas the popping begins. Has anyone had this problem? Any ideas before I take it back to the dealer? Just a heads up there is no jumper on the CID like the Predator 90s had. The only speed control is a screw on the throttle and I have it set a little more than half way open.

i dont know much about the outlaw but i would guess that your giving it fuel throttle if so you are hitting the rev limiter if your not at full throttle when it does it check your air filter make sure it's clean and and the carb might need to be adjusted.......it did that on my raptor 50 and i just needed to adjust the carb....

I will never buy another Polaris again. I've had nothing but problems with my Outlaw 90. We only had it out on the track one time and it's been in the shop four times. (in fact it's in the shop as I'm writing this note) It's now hard starting, back fires every 3-4 seconds and after it warms up when you come to a stop, it stalls (shuts down). I've had it to two different dealers and talked to Polaris four times. Polaris has been rude and short with me and said it's up to the dealer to find the problems. And the dealers say they don't know what the problem is with out changing out parts. Polaris will not ship out parts unless the dealer can prove the bad parts. This unit is brand new and I should not have to deal with crap. Never again Polaris...
