Default Rancher 420 at High Altitude

Had the Rancher at ~11,500' this weekend. Bone stock except for a UNI air filter. Was interested to see how the FI would handle the elevation change. This engine is a peach! Still peppy and fast, even at maximum altitude....

FI is great at any altitude that you are going to be at. I am glad it worked out ok though.

There was a fuel injected KFX450 along as well. It did well, but he seemed to always have trouble starting it (even at low altitude). Because it was along, we stayed out of the really technical stuff. Our hero ran his tank dry twice, while I used maybe 1/4 tank on the Rancher.

I noticed that my 420 gets great gas millage for an ATV. I could not be happier.

nice, I cant wait until they make a EFI rubicon II or something close, I tried to go on a wet early spring ride with worn stock tires, not good. Carburated machines fail to run well when tipped in deep ruts and stalled it out every time it got steep That and I gotta get some tires for this thing!
