Default 4 wheel drive question 2001 Polaris Sportsman HO

I put 1 quart of oil in the resivior this past Sunday. The diptube, gave me a level of 1/16 of an inch over full.......Today..... 3 days later I am showing on the dip tube to add 8 more ounces of oil...There are no oil leaks, there is no oil in the antifreeze resivior, there is no smoke from the exhaust....Why is the oil resivior sucking down this fast, any replies will be greatly appreciated......

Kyle

theres no way you would go thru 1 1/2 qts of oil w/ out it being pushed out of a line, the engine, air box or it has to be burning it. i know the synthenic doesnt smoke no where as much as reg oil. just my opinion.

alex, i'm not trying to be insulting by what im saying. i just mean theres either a major leak or it has to be going out the exhaust. did you check your spark plug to see if its all oil soak or wet black. if so then it might be going out the exhaust. you may have a bad oil ring.

not sure about your year but aren't you supposed to run the engine for about 20 seconds then shut off and check oil
