need info on 06 wolverine 450
#1
Ok, I just bought a 06 wolverine 450 on ebay with 650 odd miles. Over all pleased with purchace. atv seems to be in very good condition, has aftermarket tires and wheels. My only disapointment is top end speed is 42 mph. I'm 200 lbs. Is this as good as it going to get? If not any ideas on what is wrong. Thanks

Here is the set up: Tires are bigger currently have 26 x 9 x 12 front, 26 x 12 x 12 on rear. I realize this will mess with the speedo, just dont know how. Shouldn't it give a reading say of 54 but actual speed be somewhat higher.

Old Dia: 23in
New Dia: 26in
Actual MPH: 48mph (we can assume you lost a few MPH because of having to turn heavier tires)
Speedometer MPH reading: 42.5mph
Sounds about right ...

I'd borrow someone's GPS so you can get an accurate reading on your top speed.
I have the stock tires and wheels. Speedo shows 54mph top end. Not sure what the GPS would read. Probably about 52mph.
