its so,so to take off and replace. the hardest part is getting the bearing out then the new one back in w/out a press. oncew you have the carrier off you should be able to see the cut outs in the back of it where you would use a punch to drive it out. what yr is the 500?

not really. standard tools. you might consider taking the hub off and bring it to a dealer or someone who has a press to put it back in. you'll save alot of aggrevation and wouldnt cost as much for labor if you hand them the hub. i also wouldnt buy a polaris bearing as they are real expensive. buy an after market one for half the cost.

you get both rear bearings for $29.00 +9.00 shipping on ebay look up racingirls rock is the seller there KOYO bearings better by far than the original and half price....when you knock one of the old ones out take the bearing apart and put the bearing outside race ina vise and cut it into on one side.....this will make you a very nice tool to knock the new bearing in with.....beat on the outside race only not the inner when insatlling...put the new bearing in the freezer for a few hours ..when your ready to put them in get one out and turn the hub up if you dont have a press and start the bearing in then set the race on top of it and peck it home......simple job thats how I did it before I got my press.......hope this helps
