We have two (2) Sportsman 500 Deluxe's and both of them had to have front differential replaced..After about 750-800 miles when going down down steep inclines or stopping with ADC engaged they had a very loud grinding sound..Polaris has replaced both units no problem...Anyone else experinced this problem????[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

wow mine makes a horrific screeching sound when going down steep stuff. i have the 07 800x2 but you say yours was making grinding sound? i have about 600 miles on it so far and i have gotten use to the screech! it started making that noise at around 200 miles i wonder if i have some kind of problem internally.. since i live over 100 miles from dealer i never took it in...everything seems fine except for the screech!!

 

I hope the is some advantage to this ADC thing? Polaris is known for changing for the worst. Examples are smaller gas tanks on there Sportsman ATVs(5.25 gals down to 4.13 gals), plastic oil tanks from there once fined aluminum alloy oil tanks. Plastic melting on new Sportmans and plastic cages breaking on there front diffs which never happened on the hub locking models.

 

[img]i/expressions/brokenheart.gif[/img]Ours both started with a screech or squeal and then turned into a grinding noise around 700-730 miles...Polaris replaced both units without a problem..I now have around 1400 miles and no problems with new unit...Hope it lasts because we ride a lot of very steep declines in WV..

 

both your bikes adc went out at the same mileage?..so i guess mines going to go out in another 100 miles...ugh!

 

I have over 1200 miles on my 500 and have not had one problem. I will keep my fingers crossed.
