Default Jetmoto 150

Guys, I just bought a jetmoto 150 for my son and I was wondering if there were any slight mods I can do to it. There seems to be a flat spot in acceleration from the line and I was wondering if there was another air filter, jet etc. that I could install without any major issues. I just feel like the machine has more potential and there should be some very basic things that can be done.

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Regards, Superintendent

You can get rid of most of that flat spot by turning the fuel screw out 1/4 to 1/2 a turn. Its the screw on the bottom of the carb and if you cant get to it with a short screwdriver. A pair of needle nose pliers will usually allow you to turn it from the side.

Thanks, I will definately try that, the plug shows the machine running very lean anyway! I am also going to loosen the chain as it is very tight. I was told to run it for a while and it will "stretch" but there is no way this thing has even loosened up the slightest bit.

Also, any reason why the lights have to be on for the motor to crank? Once the motor is started you can turn the lights off and the machine runs fine! Go figure.

Turning out the fuel screw will richen things on the bottom end of the power curve.

The quad is jetted to meet the CARB standards in Ca. sort of like the "X" model hondas and the "WR" Yamahas.
I loosen the chains too. Ridiculous how tight they come from the factory.

That is beyond me, mine arent like that.
