Well, I've been sitting on a quadboss 1500 lb winch and mounting plate for a while, so I decided to install it on my 04 4x4 Rancher for giggles.

I put the plate on, the found out prompty that the winch won't fit on the plate due to clearance issues with the front headlight assemblies. The winch has a right side motor, and a left side spool.

Not sure what is going on, the plate bolts right on the rancher frame perfectly.

Can I see some pics of any of your arrangements?

 

I've had a wintch for my 06' AC 400 FIS Auto about 5 month's before i got my AC , and it's still in the box ; the only thing i've done to it was buy a new roller flair head from my dealer and that's it ! She told me what wire's to use for the hook-up , but i've even forgotten which wire's to use now ; it's been so long ! Well at least i've yet to get stuck so i really haven't had to use one yet , i did use a tow rope to get a guy out of a mud hole once but i didn't need the wintch ! williebee

 

I've have not gotten stuck enough yet either to use it, but I would like to use for pulling game out of the brush. Not to mention, I paid good money for that thing, I should put it on.

I just can't figure how they designed it thinking in would fit on the rancher. I would love to see any pics of anyone's winch on one of these models.

 

Still have the winch in the box. Hopefully someone has mounted one of these? I don't want to cut out my headlights!
