Default crankcase cover gasket

The gasket on my right side crankcase cover on my 94 TRX 300 started leaking the other day. Does anyone know if it is just a paper gasket in there and if I could just use silicone to repair it?

The TRX300 had trouble with the gasket leaking just above the kick starter ... In 1997 Honda added a cover bolt where the earlier models leaked ... Your best bet is to replace the gasket and use a little sealant to hold the gasket in place ..

Here's a picture of where the earlier models leaked (the spot where the bolt is added ..

Thanks for the info. Any way that you could send me the rest of the directions for doing this as it's the first time I've ever done this and I would hate to mess it up...lol! I dont see the clutch adjustment
bolt in the pic, does that get removed or left on? Thanks again!

You leave the clutch adjuster & lock nut in the case ... PM or post your email address and I will email you what you need ...
