Can anyone help me in wiring up my Warn 2000 winch on my Trail Boss 2000? My problem is the ignition. I have the front panel off and I have the ignition disconnected however there are several leads coming from the ignition switch and I need to know which one I use when connecting the red wire coming off of the solinoid? From the ignition I have two red&black wires, 2 red wires, 2 black and one brown. Does anyone know which wire I'm supposed to connect to? I'm haulted until I get this to work.

 

you could just run your selnoid to a switch.

 

You could just hook up the winch control switch directly to the battery; forget about the solenoid, donate it to Goodwill Industries. No problem with good wiring insulation; the winch can then be operated whether the ignition switch is on or off.

I hooked my SuperWinch directly to the battery on my 2000TBoss. Don't make a stupid mistake like me... the easy to get to terminals next to the battery are for the starter, don't hook it to them. Go right to the battery terminals.

 

I figured it out, either one of the red & black striped wire.

 

O.K.; however, the solenoid appears to me somewhat a solution to a non-existent problem.

i hate wiring
