Hard to steer after flipping wheels
#1
I flipped the wheels on my warrior and love the added stability. The problem is its pretty hard to steer now. I am sure I can get used to it, but anyone have a solution to this?

Steering effort is still going to be increased, perhaps even more so with the steering stabilizer. Handling sucks with that much offset, but the steering stabilizer will help limit bump steer reasonably well.

Only way to get wider stance with no additional steering effort is with wider A-arms or a suspension widening kit like the one from DiamondJCustoms. I put one of these kits on one of my 400ex's and for a quarter or a third of the cost of a-arms (watch ebay for deals, i got mine for about $100) I am extremely pleased with the results.
Stabilizer will reduce bump steer, but marginally increase steering effort.

That looks like a great product. Being just a warrior I really am not looking to drop too much money into it. This product seems inexpensive and effective. Thanks for the info.

They provide all the benifits of extended A-arms EXCEPT the increase in suspension travel. I have one 400ex with extended A-arms and one with the widening kit. They ride very much alike (except when really pounding it, because of the additional travel of the a-arms). They're very well designed and built and were easy to install with just regular tools in about 1 1/2 hours. They do add a little weight, around 15 pounds, but it wasn't really noticeable on my 400ex. Still wheelies about the same.
I think the retail price is a little steep, but they have one on eBay auction almost every day (notice that the auction, even though it says for a particular quad, allows you to ask for any of their kits for any bike upon winning). If you watch the auctions and are patient, I've seen them go for as low as $65.
Overall, I'd say extremely worth it, especially if a low auction price is found.
Good Luck!

You have effectivly changed the steering geometry of the quad. You have increased the forces on your balljoints 3X. Change your wheels back around and save some money and your life and do it right. JMO
