Are the new 800ho more then the old 800.

Default Are the new 800ho more then the old 800.

I see the new 800 sportsmans are ho. I see they are the same cc power so whay makes them a high output.

A different cam was installed as far as I know.

they probably bumper up the compression and got new cams me thinks

they may have just tweaked the efi a little to get the HP gains. i know that they did some clutching and what not to get a lot of the torque gains. in 08 the 800 has 9% more hp and 12% more torque. the torque is most likley what you'll tell the biggest difference in. check the ATV NATION video, the polaris guy talks a little on the 08 800...

watching that video makes me wonder if w/ the new low gearing for better take off will make top end slower. that would kinda suck where its already one of the slowest big bores out there. just a thought.
