ATVS AND PAINTBALL
#1
I WANT TO KNOW IF ANYONE HAS EVER PLAYED PAINTBALL WHILE ON AN ATV 100% OF THE TIME. IF ANYONE HAS, HOW DID YOU PLAY? RULES, IF ANY?
MY MAIN RULE WOULD BE DISQUALIFICATION IF ONE WERE TO BE SEEN DISMOUNTING THE ATV AT ANY TIME. I THINK PLAYING PAINTBALL THIS WAY WOULD BE MORE DIFFICULT BECAUSE ONE COULD NOT HIDE AS WELL UNLESS ONE CAMOFLAUGED HIMSELF AND HIS ATV. IF YOU RUN OUT OF ***** AND C02, YOU WOULD HAVE NO IMMUNITY AND WOULD HAVE TO USE PURE SPEED AND AGILITY TO RETRIEVE MORE AMMO.
SEE MY BUDDIES AND I PLAY DIFFERENTLY THAN NORMAL PAINTBALL RULES DICTATE. WITH US IT IS A BATTLE OF THE TERMINATORS, YOU WIN IF THE OTHER PLAYERS GIVE UP, RUN OUT OF AMMO, OR JUST CANNOT TAKE THE PAIN ANYMORE. ANOTHER METHOD USES THE PENALTY BOX IN HOCKEY TO HOLD A PAINTED PLAYER FOR 5-10 MINUTES WHILE THE GAME GOES ON AND HIS TEAM IS SHORT ONE PLAYER.
I KNOW THIS IS OUTSIDE THE REALM OF AN ARCTIC CAT DISCUSSION, BUT IN READING THE OTHER BRAND DISCUSSIONS I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT WE AC GUYS ARE MORE CONCERNED WITH HAVING FUN THAN COMPARING THE SIZE OF THEIR LOWER UNITS.
THANK YOU,
TEXASCAT

When posting here, and this is not meant as a slam or something, please unlock your caps button. To most computer geeks, all caps is like yelling at your sister. Minehunter is the task I used to do while I served in the USN.

minehunter,
sorry about my unintentional misuse of the caps key, i did not know it would cause someone to miss the entire point of the essay. next time could you please reply on the topic and not the format of the message. i honestly did not think all caps would affect the legibility of the message.
by the way, i am NOT a computer geek.

Hey, It sounds like everyone is against your idea of paintball on 4-wheelers. Yes it is not as safe as normal paintball, but personally I enjoy it far more than normal paintball. It is also a lot harder. We play paintball on our 4-wheelers more than we play normal paint ball. But everyone does not have a 4-wheeler that would like to play so you have a driver(which drives the 4-wheeler) and you have a gunner(he sits behind the driver and shoots) and you are not out of the game untill both people(the gunner and the driver) are both shot. That is basicly how we play it if it helps you at all. And you are not aloud to get off the bike. It is not as safe and I do not encourge anyone to do it unless you are a fairly good rider that knows their limits and the bikes limits. I have never tried it on my dads 400 AC. I ride my 400 scrambler when I play. He dosent want me to use his becasue he doesnt want it to have all of the paintball stuff on it. But it washes right off. That is how we play. Good luck to ya.

As far as safety goes, yeah, it might not be the best thing there is, but it sure does sound fun. I think Phildogg's version would probably be the best-safety wise anyway. The driver could do just that-drive, then the other guy could shoot. And with that rule that you're not out till both are hit, you could switch drivers/gunners -hey, this is sounding even better as it goes, you might be on to something! I'm sure it would require a bit more skill as well, as the size of the machine would be harder to hide.
Anyway, best of luck, sounds like a lot of fun!

I have always thought that it would be a lot of fun, but I have never tried it. We used to play tag where you had to touch the rider not the machine. We rode in an area of criss cross trails and hills. It was a blast but not the safest thing. We tried it at night once. I can still remember the guy trying to catch me and hitting the side of a jump. All I could see was his lights doing a 360 as his atv flipped sideways. Fortuneately he was unhurt and his atv only needed new handlebars. We didn't play at night anymore after that.
