the oil may have been overfilled... drain the oil and put the correct amount in

too much front differential oil? my manual states the following for the front diff oil

"if gear oil is filled to the brim of the oil filler hole, oil may start leaking from the differential gear case breather hose."

Wonder if this has happened to you and went into the air box when the front end was up?

called the local atv place and he said it might be a hose pinched off and is causing it to blow it into the box. that sound right to anyone?

looked for the line pinched and could not find one. cleaned all the oil out of the box and ran it for a while in neutral to see were the oil was coming from then it made a loud bang so i might be due for a new piston. so i called another and smarter mechanic today and he said time for a overhaul. he also said all 450's have a small amount of run time on thier pistons. anyone else heard that? neways in not goin to bore it out but anyone else have any other and kinda cheap things i can do while im in the motor. port and polish maybe?
