Eton viper 90r
#1
Does anyone know if I need to rejet the carb on an eton viper 90r if I take out the restrictors and add a uni filter, or do I just readjust the carb? Also wondering why my transmission won't engage after going through water on my 2004 polaris 700twin 4x4. Any help is appreciated. I am new to Quad riding and not very knowledgeable on the subject.

Where did you get the 115, and it looks like it made a tremendous difference from the picture. At one of the eton sites, I saw sizes #80 thru #90. Also did you have to put on an aftermarket pipe or did you just take out the restrictor washer and spark arrestor? Thanks for your help.

I bought the UNI from hetrick's and they gave me 3 jet sizes to try with it(100,110,115)..The bike would only go about a lenght of itself and then had a huge bog with the factory jetting after adding the UNI...Doing this by itself does not make a big difference in performance..It was more or less something I wanted to try..I also added boyeseen reeds and some lighter clutch wieghts to help with acceleration..It's not a huge difference but it does accelerate much better...Otherwise the engine and pipe are stock..There is no restrictor washer on the Etons that I have ever heard of..Our's is a 2004 so it does not have a removable spark arrestor..The good news is it doesn't seem to plug up like the removable ones either.

Thanks for all the info. On the eton 90 I found a restrictor washer at the head of the exhaust, its hard to see so take the exhaust all the way off, it's probably stuck and blackened. Also I adjusted the cdi box from 4 to 6. Just those 2 changes made quite a difference. I have yet, to rejet and add a Uni filter! I also took out the spark restrictor, because when those get clogged it's over, I couldn't even start the quad.
