A blessing in disguise? Here's the short story:
I sold the Hawkeye three weeks ago and have been waiting on a 2008 Brute Force 750. I wanted a twin with fuel injection and Kawasaki was the lowest priced and a great machine. As of this morning, the Kawasaki is still not in and the dealer can't tell me when it will arrive.
One week ago, Polaris came out with a $2,000 discount on remaining new 2007 800's, which made them cheaper than the Kawasaki. Hmmm, a twin with EFI, and still in the crate? Not to mention I haven't had a single problem with my Sportsman 500 in 120 hours/ over 1,000 miles (inlcuding 4 months of plowing over 200 inches of snow). Where do I sign?!! I spec'd the 800 with black ITP 14" SS 108 rims and Terracross tires. The stock 800 rims and tires will go on the wife's 500. To say I am stoked would be an understatement. I'll post pics when I get the new one home.

I'm pretty sure my next bike will be an 800 as well, but I'm thinking it will be in a RZR not a Sportsman LOL But thats only if I can persude the ol' lady into me building a garage to put it in LOL

Graz on the new bike. That is one heck of a good deal. You're gonna love the ride, it's like driving your sofa around.
Hey Scrammy, cool new sig. I would love to get the RZR too but it is illegal on the trails in Wisconsin. The regs say 48" max and the RZR is 50".

Sounds like you got a great deal. Hard to pass up I'm sure, and cheaper than the Kawasaki? One of my buddies has the 750 Brute, and it is, tons of power. The ride is a bit different though, would take getting used to for me. Contratulations, doubt you'll regret it.

I actually picked up the new 800 yesterday (Wednesday). Upon rolling it out of the showroom and starting it up, my cell phone rang, it was the Kawasaki dealer telling me that he had the BF I had been waiting so long for. LOL!! I told him that I appreciated the call but I was no longer in the market for a new ATV. I'll post my initial impressions this weekend. So far I have absolutely no complaints with the 800.

Sounds like a great deal. My local dealer isn't too realistic at times. You have to be ready to buy and sign on the dotted line to get a decent deal. He had a 2006 Scrambler that he still wanted $5999 for. I was asking for a buddy. The 800, for me, is like when I was offered to switch for awhile with a guy with a Grizzly 700 with the power steering to try it out. I said, "No thanks, I might like it too much". Congratulations!
