what kind of oil should i put in this machine? i just got it and want to change the oil before riding. i run some maxima oil in my kfx 10w40. is that okay in the sportsman?

 

I believe the 700 calls for 0W-40 synthetic oil. Mobil 1 in that weight is available most places.

 

any ideas on where i can get a downloadable owners manual from?

yep, 0w40 is what's used in the sp 700. I just changed mine and used a puralator filter and mobil 1 synthetic. my local dealer wants $30 for the oil change kit that includes the oil and filter(polaris brand). I spent $16 on the puralator and mobil 1.

 

whats the p/n on the purolator filter

 

I use Castrol Syntec 5w-50 in my 03.

 

pn for the puralator is pl-14610
for the mobil 1 is m1-110. not for sure on the mobil 1 filter. I didn't look at it when I was at the parts store.
