Thats right. I was looking at a break down of polaris's current products, and it seems ATV's are their #1 product by far. A full 60% of their buisness is ATV's, while sleds make up only 27%. The other misc. products(watercraft and Victory bikes)only add up to 13%. I thought this was interesting, knowing that snowmobiles comprised over 70% of their buisness in 1990. So I would say that Polaris is an ATV manufacturer that happens to build snowmobiles!

 

yeah, atv's are pretty popular, with the lack of snow we have had the last few years it must hurt sales, they have some incredible snomobiles, but i am not sure if we will get this much snow next year so it looks like i will be getting another atv before i get a new sled

 

Mothernature has not been kind to the snowmobile industry, but this year has been good so far. Atv's are the only "toy" that has a market that is growing. PWC are a over saturated market, and the sled require good snow to use them. people are going to atv's because they can use them all year round, unlike sleds.
