Polaris Sportsman 600 2003

i was ridding my quad and noticed a wired smell after i turned it off, after a while i tried to start it up again, and nothing happened, it would turn but not fire up. i check for spark and nothing. what could it be? has anyone come across this before, i think either two thing magneto or spark plug modulator?

i dont beleave they had the emc(electronic modual control) on the 03' 600. i couldnt find one when i looked on the pn# break down. i would start looking at the wires to see if any melted? maybe thats what you smelled. just an idear.

thanks for your help. i looked at your suggestion and couldnt find anything. i tried to start it again and it started, then after a few minutes it turned off and then same thing, no spark any other suggestions i might try? thanks for all the help!!!!!!!

u right Didnt notice year. Fusable link in wires then maybe.. yup run thru wires like stendori said..

can it be heat activated, cause it tried starting it and it ran for a while then i turned it off, after i turned it off i tried to turn it on again but no spark, so maybe it has to do with temp? all the help is greatly appreciated.
