Default TRX 200 charging help

I have an 86 trx 200 4trax .The battery will not charge nor will any indicator lights work (reverse or neutral).
These lights will only work when the running lights are switched on.But these lights dim and flicker as you rev just up from idle.
Anyone have any ideas on what is wrong and how to fix it?

thanks everyone

Default TRX 200 charging help

It could be many things...
Start simple first.
Did you charge the battery initially before installing it?

I would check for loose wires, check the
Charging Coil and the Voltage regulator to start with.
Any good manual has testing procedures for these items.
Check the wiring out thoroughly,
most of the time that's what I find is messed up.
