Default Honda 1980's BIG RED Gear Stuck???

Hey all, I need some help. I have a MINT condition Honda Big Red and the other day I took it for a stroll around town I stopped it and talked to a friend. And when I went to put it in neutral it would not go there. It is stuck in gear and the gear shifter is not stuck or stripped or anything. It goes up and down but the gears will not budge. I know you have to rock them back and forth, but it is not budging. My worry is that it could be something inside the gears that is broken. Any of you have the same problem??? Please Help, ANY INPUT IS ACCEPTED!!!

My dad has a 1984 Big red that was doing the same thing, turned out to be the high/low selector swith wasn't engaging right.

Best of luck!!

What did you do with the high/low selector? how did you fix it??? I completely forgot that they have a High/Low...or do they? Maybe mine doesn't have one. I need to go out and look.
