Need help with 98 polaris explorer frontend
#1
I have a 98 polaris explorer and the front right wheel does not work in 4x4. I started taking it apart. I am sure what it is supose to look like. The shaft that gose to the wheel that turns the wheel is very loose where it gose into the tire.hub. Their is a nut on the end of the shatf that gose to the hub. It looks ok. The inside of the hub look like a bowl. Their is not anymore parts. I am sure something is missing but I do not know what. I have never had a polaris or a 4x4 4 wheeler. Could some one tell me or show me what it should look like.

there should be 2 wheel bearings in there, and an armature plate that runs your four wheel drive, and there should be a washer behind that nut your talking about. Make sure u follow the torque sequence when reinstalling. I think you torque it to like 33 ft/lbs, back it off a turn, then torque it to 18 ft/lbs. spin the wheel a little bit and torque it again. i just tore one apart yesterday, not a bad job at all
