Default HONDA 400EX ENGINE BORE TIPS NEEDED

I am going to bore my motor .20 over does anyone have any tips on removing the motor or anything like that?

why u boring .020 ? wont notice any power difference

because i have a blown ring what do you suggest? i ride for hours at a time i dont wanto do .40 because of heat issues

i suggest u have ur jug checked if its not gouged have honed and get a 11.0-1 piston off ebay ... will notice difference in power and if u do work ur self be like 175.00 for a piston kit and gaskets

well the .20 over is only 65 dollars brand new and i have been riding it for a while with a blown ring

get what u pay 4 i did 2 400 ex stock bore with 11.0-1 pistons and stage one hot cam that out run 450 r with a 125# rider[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] u have to pay 50+to bore it

Default HONDA 400EX ENGINE BORE TIPS NEEDED

as far as pulling ur motor as long as the swingarm bolt is not seized in its pretty easy take ya hour or so and a metric wrench and socket set 12mm and 14?mm i believe are 90% of the bolt size with 10mm being the rest
