Does anyone know whether a recoil starter assembly from a 2000 Polaris Sportsman 500 will work on the 1999 Sportsman 500?

 

yes it will. i just crossed referenced the 1999 and 2000 sportsman 500 recoil starter assembly. they both use identical part numbers.
